We have large dogs that all savannah cat kittens are raised around from day one. As far as the savannah cat kittens know the dog are just cats with out spots! :)

Can you walk a savannah cats on a leash ?
Yes, this is where savannah cat intelligence comes into play. Just like a dog you start early with leash training but even adult savannah cats can learn to walk on a leash.

Much like a Serval they chose one person to bond with. They get along great with other animals but they disike being held. F1 Savannah range in size from 12 to 26 pounds.
They are good with their litter box (although some have reports of spraying). They are not aggressive, but they dislike socializing with children or strangers. Will play fetch, give headbutts and walk on a leash with training.

They get along great with other animals. They love to be pet. Most F2s out of a proper breeding program have about the same size of an F1. F2 Savannahs will have less wild tendencies.
They will play fetch, give headbutts and walk on a leash with training. F2 Savannah Cats by far make the best pet, they easy to maintain and rarely no health problems.
Worried about losing size? Don’t be fooled a F2 Savannah Cat is in the same size range of an F1 Savannah Cat.


If you have kids an F3 savannah cat is the best high generation for you due to there laid back nature yet very exotic looks.
Wild tendencies such as spray do not occur often at this level.F3 Savannah cats make wonderful pets.

Will play fetch, give headbutts and walk on a leash with training. F3 savannahs are similar in behavior to a F2 savannah but are very reliable in t he litter box department!
Don’t want to spend a lot of money? F4 Savannah Cats are good choice for you since they are lower in price general but still have the exotic look. Please keep in mind that most registered breeds of cat with papers cost around $700 - $900 for a pet so lower generation savannah cats are not that expensive.
One Pet horse cost $10,000 or more. The hundreds of dollars a year in up keep. We live in horse country and you can bet we see horses go for tons more than savannah cats do!
